  • SALSA is modular, allowing it to support the delivery of a variety of services, each of which may leverage different functions of the Ipanema System
  • SALSA is modular and open allowing it to deliver a variety of services leveraging the different functions of the Ipanema System.
  • SALSA was designed as a carrier-class application. It includes comprehensive OSS/BSS interfaces and complies with the highest security standards. It has been deployed with success by some of the largest, most demanding global telcos and MSPs.

The SALSA platform components include:

  • ip|uniboss: the SALSA component that unifies high-level provisioning and management operations across all customer domains. It supports “one-touch provisioning” for new service customers, service templating and more.
  • ip|boss Server: the back-end building block for day-to-day operations of the system, simplifying the control of multiple customer domains. It is the SALSA component that manages all aspects of the Ipanema System and which collects and aggregates the visibility metrics.
  • ip|boss Portal: a web-based interface into the ip|boss Server features
  • ip|reporter Server: the back-end building block of the reporting system, providing historical reporting functions for multiple customer domains.
  • ip|reporter Portal: a web-based interface to ip|reporter server features that can be customized with both service provider and end customer branding.

The Ipanema System’s functions can be delivered through the SALSA platform as one or more services to hundreds of customer organizations and hundreds of thousands of premises using a single, unified operations center. With SALSA, it is now possible to build application-centric services on a large scale while keeping costs in check. SALSA and the Ipanema System can make existing services more profitable for service providers and more valuable for their enterprise customers, while also opening the door to novel services that were never economical before.
