Ipanema Management Software Suite (IMSS)

IMSS is made up of two software modules: ip|boss and ip|reporter.

• ip|boss is at the heart of the Ipanema System. It allows one to configure the system and to supervise the
  ip | engines. It is also responsible for the collection of Visibility data and delivers the application performance monitoring and alarming functions.

• ip|reporter includes both a database and an advanced reporting engine. ip|reporter is capable of delivering numerous reports about application usage and performance according to multiple criteria, such as application type, network topology and/or time. Reports are created automatically using report creation wizards.

The Export Software Suite is made up of two modules: ip|export and smart|billing. This suite completes the functions of the Ipanema System by offering a really easy-to-use direct interface with the information systems of companies and operators.

Behaving as a mediation layer, ip | export is able to supply the results of the measurements (on usage and performance) made by the Ipanema System to complex systems including OSS (Operation and Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems) of network operators as well as simple databases and/or widespread software suites (such as Microsoft Excel).

smart|billing is the other optional module that provides direct billing information according to performance objectives and actual performance delivered.
