VoIP, videoconferencing and telepresence
VoIP, IP Telephony, video conferencing and tele-presence are natively taken into account within Ipanema's ANS and became as easy to deploy and control as any other data application. Performance is guaranteed across the entire WAN whatever is the other traffic in the network.
Totally automated and scalable to the largest enterprise, ANS enables organizations to:
- Guarantee the quality of time-sensitive applications like IP Telephony, videoconferencing and tele-presence;
- Control and report the WAN contribution to end-users’ quality of Experience (QoE);
- Simplify operations and decrease cost by eliminating need to reserve bandwidth for voice and video flows or to dedicate specific networks.
Tele-presence, videoconferencing and IP Telephony rely on WAN quality. They carry flows that are highly sensitive to delay, loss and jitter. Precise reporting on the WAN contribution to QoE using Application Quality Score (AQS) metric takes into account the impact of all network impairments (one-way delay, loss, jitter) for video quality monitoring. Mean opinion score (MOS) metric does the same for voice quality monitoring with ultra-precise measurement of each packet.
Calls or conferences involve communications that compete with other data applications and might take place between branches and not only between one branch and one datacenter. Ipanema's ANS manages in real-time such meshed flows using its unique QoS & Control feature to guarantee performance of the most time sensitive applications and make voice and video as easy to handle as any other business critical application.
