Sales Engineer/Senior Sales Engineer

Ipanema is looking for a self-motivated candidate with industry credibility, drive, versatility and a passion for excellence.  The ideal candidate will build relationships, provide strong support for the Sales Team and excel in the preparation and delivery of pilots, presentations,  product demonstrations, bid responses and proposals.

Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential as well as confidence in presenting to all levels up to and including CxO. A self starter who is able to work unsupervised for long periods, and is equally at home as part of a geographically-dispersed team providing mentoring skills for other team members.

The candidate will be required to liaise closely with product management to provide additional field input into the product development roadmap.

It is vital that the candidate can combine the technical skills above with excellent commercial and business skills and authority to make a significant contribution to achieving the revenue targets in the relevant region. This role offers significant travel opportunities and requires the possibility of  travel for several days at a time (depending on location up to 50% travel can be expected). Requirements:

  • Background in OSS/BSS or enterprise/service management.
  • Excellent understanding of networking especially TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of the use and deployment of Classes of Service (CoS) is a distinct advantage, as is knowledge of Wan Optimisation acceleration/shaping products.
  • Proven Technical Account management skills in large Telco/SI partner environments.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Depending on the profile, could be based either in France (Paris), Spain (Madrid), Zurich or Dubai.
  • Driving license and car.
  • Language: Excellent English and at least one other language (Spanish, German, Arabic)

Technical Leads, Embedded Software - France

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical specifications and architecture design of one or more components of our ip|engine software.
  • Plan the implementation.
  • Lead the implementation, in compliance with the development rules in place within the organization. The technical lead is responsible for the quality and timely delivery of the software s/he coordinates. Coordinate work between in-house developers, offshore developers and 3rd-party software providers where applicable.
  • Manage and report on the software development schedule
  • Ensure unit testing is designed, implemented and run throughout the development and stabilization phases.
  • Ensure code verification tools are applied throughout the development and stabilization phases, where applicable.
  • Ensure source code is properly documented, according to the standard practice in place within the organization.
  • Lead the stabilization phase of the project
  • Ensure 3rd level support on the components once they are deployed


Skills Required:

  • C/C++ and Linux expertise (user and kernel space)
  • multi-threaded, time-sensitive software development experience
  • Good understanding of IP networking protocols
  • Project planning and coordination
  • Strong software architecture design and coding skills
  • Strong problem solving and software debugging skills
  • Very good learning abilities
  • Good communication skills


Desirable:

  • Experience with network stack implementation (e.g. TCP stack)
  • Experience in embedded software development


Qualifications

  • MSEE/CS combined with 5+ years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 8+ yrs related experience
  • Proven technical leadership
  • Team management experience is a plus
